Fr. Larry Léger


Born in Toronto, Fr. Larry was raised in London, Ont., and Toronto, and graduated Brebeuf College School in 1982. After graduating from the University of Toronto he worked in Accounting and Finance for a Canadian Telephone Equipment maker. He entered St. Augustine’s Seminary in 1988 and was ordained to the Priesthood in 1993. Fr. Larry has served the Archdiocese of Toronto as Associate Pastor of St. Jerome’s (Brampton), and as Pastor of Holy Martyrs of Japan (Bradford) before being assigned as Pastor of Holy Family in June of 2007.  Fr. Larry has a brother Chris who is married to Maria and they have a son Michael, and a sister Julie who is married to Ian and they have a son Gabriel.  His father, Guy, is a retired educator who lives in Kingston, Ontario.

Fr. Larry enjoys traveling, cooking, reading about Liturgy, and often presents in parishes across the country on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults as a team member with the North American Forum on the Catechumenate. O

Recently Fr. Larry has been working with Caledon Community Services on the Homelessness Partnership Strategy Committee – looking at ways to address the issue of homelessness in Caledon.
